i did change the dll and added the xml

A screenshot attached.  The genres already showed up without the new dll.

One thing to understand: the pvr.nextpvr.cr.dll needs to be renamed without the .cr as an alternative to the pvr.nextpvr.dll or should be added as an extra file?

Ok that didn't work it should show Krimi / Thriller the translation of sub genre.  In the pvr.nextpvr settings third option do you have backend genre text enabled? That just display what NextPVR sends so it never gets translated. 

Yes just rename it to pvr-nextpvr.dll

Your example does show the carriage return problem though, around Darsteller and after the each line of the cast.

Ignore the dates on this I fake it from the old full mux.  I also don't have that episode in the data from last month but you get the idea.

Hi Martin, you are right. The Option backend genre text was enabled.

I disabled it, and used the "cr" dll.

Here are some screenshots. Its funny, that some Genres are german, and some are english. But the actors are now displayed much better!

P.S.: Tonight also the EPG update run -> PC was in standby this morning. Can it be, that devicehostwindows.dll is not the problem, but the newer nshared.dll fixes the problem?

The newest exe produced a bluescreen, right while i was watching recording. In the background recordings startet and stopped.

Can you tell if it relates to the EPG update, or just any attempt to stop the device?

ie, if you restart the service, or reboot, then just schedule a recording or two, does it stop them cleanly if it hasn't done an EPG update?

I'm just trying narrow down in my mind where the issue might be occurring

i will try this as soon as possible. At then moment i am only 1-2 hours at home at all, so time is running out for testing. Sorry.

At the moment the situation is, that the EPG update at night works, and the PC is in standby in the morning. The only changed things is the nshared.dll (wich only should habe fixed the cutted EPG details data).

Can is really be, that the nshared.dll was the problem, and the original devicehostwindows.exe is OK?

We could see a problem in the devicehostwindows.exe log, where two operations were trying to happen at the same time. stopping the device, and tuning. The change in devicehostwindows was to make one operation wait until the other operation was complete, which it should really do.

Hello sub. This morning again the PC was in standby. EPG update did run.

The current state:

- Newest nshared.dll
- Original devicehostwindows.exe

Logs attached.

The test you want: Shall i do it with this constellation? Oder use one of you other devicehostwindows.exe files? If so, please just post the one i shall do the test with. Right at the moment everythins works fine, but i have to test the situation if multiple recordings are running, as you described.

Sorry that i did not have the time for testing the last days, i will do it as soon as possible.

Because i am using NPVR right now, and want to watch some recordings, i did a EPG scan only.

Looks very good! Nothing skipped.

I will check standby, and background behavior. More tomorrow. Hope that is OK for now.
