Martin

I use your NextPVR New Client as my main playback although I do sometimes use Subs app. I have three Raspberry Pi devices plus a mini PC for playback but only use three of them. I have skip forward set to 60 seconds and skip back set to -30 and the UP arrow skips +10 mins forward but that seems to be a default.

Two of the four still work as normal but two plus a clean install on a new SD card the Skip function does not work at all. One of them also displays a row of tiny screenshots above the time bar presumably to select a point start watching again. However it’s no good when you want to jump around 4 mins of adverts! I checked and Subs playback app responds to the +60, -30, +10min skips. All are using the same latest version of the App!

Do you have immediate skip enabled in config.xml otherwise UI client don't skip with just the keys. I wouldn't expect the up and down keys to skip in UI clients but Kodi might be overriding them (before the new OSD up and down didn't have much value)

By sub's app do you mean pvr.nextpvr? I have been pretty much maintaining it by myself for the last five year. Skipping in pvr.nextpvr and UI clients won't be the same,

Does not seem to make any difference. The RPi3 client that shows the timing bar at the bottom of the screen just skips 10 seconds. My other RPi3 shows the timing bar at the top of the screen and skips -30 +60 & plus 10 mins. My RPi4 shows the timing bar at the bottom of the screen with screen images but only skips 10m seconds. All are running v 2.10.1.

i can't remember knewc well enough but if the timing bar is at the top, I assume I allowed some setting to use Kodi skipping not NextPVR.

The setting you are looking for is on the Client Setting tab in KNEWC, "Enable NextPVR playback OSD" Disable that an you will get the video controls of whatever skin you are using.

Thanks Martin that cures the problem. Has some default changed as have been using it for perhaps 10 years but dont remember having to change the setting previously!

No not since 2016 but thinking about it now maybe there is some difference in how NextPVR is interpreting UI clients. KNEWC uses a mode where sdl- gets added to the client ID which is supposed to tell if the OSD gets turned on or not.

Sub will need to comment I suspect this mode is not the same behaving the same with the new OSD. Certainly it is not something I test.
