New install, Ver 7.0.0.241105, Win 10.  (After years of Win 7 and Ver 4 Smile  I have most things working as I like but have 1 small niggle that I can't seem to find info about.

When using the web client, I see in the EPG any recordings that I have set.  However in the desktop client (which I prefer as its just like Ver 4) there is no highlight on the actual recording.  There is a red bar at the top but this does not show the channel - only the time.

Logs attached as well as 2 snips showing the difference between the 2

In the past we've sometimes seen this when there is duplicate entries in your guide data.

Where is your guide data coming from?

If you want to PM me a download link to your npvr.db3 file, and the name/time of a recording, I'll check it out.

Thanks Sub. EPG is from "DVB/ATSC EPG" (off air). It scans 6 frequencies that it found channels on.

If you want to PM me that download link, I'll check why they're not being highlighted.

Wouldn't the first step be to upgrade to 7.0.1.241229 to see if it makes a difference?

Could do, however the version I have is only 2 months older and in the change log I see no reference to this issue. I'll wait to see if Sub suggests that but won't make any changes while its being trouble shooted as this makes it harder to diagnose

It probably is worth updating. 7.0.0 was a pretty big release, and 7.0.1 fixed a few issues around EPG updates etc.

I can see in your database that you have duplicates. ie, in the tv guide in nextpvr.exe, if you click a show, then press the right arrow, it takes two presses to move to the next show. This is because you have two shows in that same spot.

I'd suggest updating, then doing the 'Update EPG' to see if it resolves it.

OK will do. I had noticed the extra clicks needed and remember this from a long time ago too.

Will report back.

OK upgraded to latest version, emptied and updated EPG with same result. However I changed the update to only scan 1 of the DVB frequencies (538000 TVNZ I think) and this has solved the issue. It gets all the EPG info I need ok from that 1 place (which I did not expect) so lets call it solved.

Thanks Sub and Jaggy for your help
