I’m a new user of NextPvr V7.  After working on some instability issues for few days (like frequent crashes), it seems to be working after updating it with the NextPVRUI.dll.  Now I need help setting up the skipforward 60 seconds. By default, it seems to only forward 15 seconds.  Most commercial breaks in the USA are 4 minutes. Obviously it would take 4 remote control clicks vs 16 clicks to skip a commercial break.  I modified the config.xml skipforward to 60 but no help. All renderers and decodes are set to default.  Thanks for your help

As you noted there was a bad memory leak in NextPVRUI.dll which did impact some clients for sure but the other information your post is so limited we don't know what client or what remote or keyboard method you are using to skip. Can you fill us in?

Note tat is one reason zipped logs are so helpful, it saves us from asking.

Sorry it took some time to respond. I wanted to try a few things first. I’m using an old Direct TV Rremote model RC 71 with FLIRC receiver.  I only programmed basic keys. This remote with FLIRC and by editing of Config.xml to SkipForward to 60 in NextPVR Version 4.6 worked purfect until the EPG update issue in V4.6.

I’m now using the native client V 7.0.2 (250621) with NextPVR V7.0.2.250621. My NextPVR V7 is running on a dedicated Intel NUC i3-8109U CPU, Intel Iris Plus 655 GPU, with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 1 TB WD HD with Windows 11 Home V 10.0.26100. HDHomeRun Tuners. No other apps are runninng or loading in the background. NextPVR Tray is loading at strtup and NextPVR Service is set to run at startup.
I installed and tried the KODI V21.2 to see how it behaves. I’m not sure which renderedr and MPEG-2 codec it uses. KODI player has it’s own options to many different Fast Forwar (FF) / Rewind (RW) steps, so it dosen’t add any info on my setup. KODI dosent’ have Frame-by-Frame display at the bottom of the screen when FF & RW.  I don’t need that feature if I can set up my NextPVR V7’s native client FF 60.  Is the new EVR renderer preventing the FF 60 seconds to not reach the NextPVR player?
I really like and want to use the native client of the NextPVR V7, so please help solving this issue.

Flirc has many configurations which key are you trying to skip with? Also since you are using thumbs in V7 that can conflict with some remote key time skipping especially left and right.

Martin, I really appreciate your quick response and help on this. I'm using the Right Arrow key in the center that is marked Select (remote image attached). You say I'm using thumbs. Do you mean thumbs as in small thumbs video frames at the bottom to navigate?  How do I disable it and would that allow FF 60 seconds? Thanks

A forum search would would lead you to other posts on how to disable thumbs. Deleting a .thumb file will do that too for testing.

If you want left and right to do long skips after that you need to edit config.xml, I can't recall the setting but I have posted it before. Edit that is <LeftRightBehaviour> you want Long Skip
