I think I am on 21.2 on this PC. I think that is the latest stable release. I can wait until 22 becomes stable to test, so no reason to backport just for me.
Totally understand, but not just because v22 is not marked stable doesn't mean it is unstable and for sure there are things that work better in v22 than in stable. Most Kodi developers use Piers so it is in their best interest to make it run as well (or better) than stable.
Yeah, I totally get that. I work for a software company running their Tech Svc Department (pre and post sales support, QA, in house IT, etc), and I know most software companies don't like releasing anything to the public without a level of comfort that the release will be reasonably stable.
One of the concerns with Team Kodi is they don't really have a release manager so agreement on when to do any name alpha, beta, release candidate etc is really means feature sit on the shelf until everyone gets release for the +1 release I like trying the new feature and don't like to wait years.
