Looks like a typo on your command line

2025-10-21 15:26:08.416 [INFO][1] --merge /mnt/badcorginas_share/Configuration/nvpr.db3 /mnt/badcorginas_share/Recorded_TV/

I expect your filename is npvr.db3 not nvpr.db3 and you now have a zero byte nvpr.db3 file there.

You nailed it. The npvr.db3 is still there and intact, and there is a zero byte npvr.db3 file there. I'll go again tomorrow and let you know what happens.

Hello, I'm back at this.  I attempted to run NextTool again, being very careful (this time) to avoid typos.  The terminal output on the screen showed the tool start, run thru all the folders of recorded programs, then sat for several seconds, then showed a SQLite error 5: 'database is locked'.  I am attaching the NextTool log.  I checked permissions on the npvr.db3 files; on the old version (backed up on the NAS) the video group has permission to read and make changes, and on the new version the nextpvr user is both the owner and group, and only the owner has permission to make changes.  Also, after this attempt there is another database file called npvr.db3-journal, 3.5 Kbytes.  I've included it in the zip.

Looking at the code that might be a change since this code was added.  Does this dll help?

I replaced the NextTool.dll on the linux computer with the one you just sent, ran it again but got apparently the same error.

Are you writing to an SD card on your RPi?  I am thinking that the program is exiting while it is still writing.  This one adds a delay after the save.

This RPi 5 uses an SSD instead of a micro SD.  Got the same error, unfortunately.

Sorry can't explain it since it is working here. Could you send the v4 database this was tested for newer format of the database

If you want to give up you can get the S/E and subtitle from the filenames with the --import option.
