Thanks for letting us that about your system but without logs there are no problems.

This is one of the most common issues, but it isn't worth the time guessing without logs.
You installed NextPVR for Window and a machine that doesn't have the Silicondust software installed 2025-11-02 13:04:47.486 [ERROR][31] Could not find C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe You want to install the software labelled "HDHomeRun Software for Windows" from here https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/ You might also consider using the HDHRGuide addon that is available on this forum. I am not sure if your ATSC 3 channels will have guide data so you might need to map them anyway, Martin

Thank you again for your help.
I already have version 20250603 (App) / 20251022d (Ul) installed as shown in this screen shot. I've had Live TV and the EPG in Kodi for a few years, just finally getting around to hooking up a PVR in Kodi.

The reason I gave you the name of the software to download is to differentiate that from the viewer app that you just showed us that is also on that page.
HDHRGuide will still be better closer to what you are used to in Kodi pvr.hdhomerun. Martin

I uninstalled the HDHomeRun app. However, when I used the link on the page you provided appears to simply install the same app via the Windows store. So, still no SiliconDust folder to be found.
I created the "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts\UpdateEPG.bat" file and ran it (see attached results). The "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\hdhomerun.xml" it created looks like a normal xml file (see attached), although I don't know if this line is unexpected? "The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. (ipv6-api.hdhomerun.com:443)" I then went to NextPVR Settings->Channels-Advanced Tools. However, the C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\hdhomerun.xml filename that should be in the drop down list does not appear as this screenshot shows:

This was the download link you needed to use https://download.silicondust.com/hdhomer...indows.exe

Yeah I don't post that link (which would save me support) because it is a direct download. The descirption is close you want Software not Aoo
Rather than posting questions consider the wiki that explains how to add XMLTV here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Setup-EPG#XMLTV Martin

Consider changing the item to download from "HDHomeRun App for Windows 10/11 – opens Windows Store" to ""HDHomeRun Software for Windows – includes firmware upgrade".
Thanks for the Wiki link! Do I leave HDHomeRun Install Wizard->General->BDA Compatibility Mode set to Default or change it to "NextPVR"? |
