No thumbnails for skipping

On the NextPVR server on Settings > General > Recording Thumbnails it's set to While Recording and using the web /uiclient I can see and use them by pressing the arrow keys. 
But using Kodi with the nextpvr client add-in I don't see them. Is there some other setting needed?

The Kodi PVR API doesn't support thumbnail skipping.  There is a UI client knewc for Kodi but the integration is not 100% so YMMV

Thanks! It was new in 2012 it appears. I found installation instructions in this forum [KNEWC] Read me first and installed over the NextPVR client as suggested. I needed the 2.18 version of the repository zip file for it to work with Kodi Omega (21.3). But I still don't see any thumbnails.

It was released before pvr.nextpvr and it does have a long history. In reality it should have been a NEWA client not New client since NEWA was the web server it used at the time.

Are you saying the current repository zip 2.0.8 shown here https://github.com/emveepee/X-NEWA/releases doesn't work? I don't recall 2.18 The documentation was moved to GitHub years ago, no doubt there is bad information in the forums (but some if it still might be helpful)

With knewc you have to be careful not to use a mouse since that can easily enable the Kodi OSD instead of the NextPVR OSD. Remember there are no problems without logs.

My bad. The 1.07.zip file the instructions say to use didn't work. (Error on selecting the repository: Could not connect to repository) I had to use the repository.nextpvr.kodi-plugins-1.08.zip which was hidden on github page behind View all files.

I'm running Kodi on an Android TV so mostly using a remote.

If you sideload uidroid on Android thumbnails will show.  Why it doesn't show in knewc would need logs

Thanks. I installed uidroid and it does ineed show thumbnails. Kodi with NnewC doesn't that I can see. Logs from nextpvr attached.

Are you running UI client mode (or autostarting it) from knewc?
