I'm trying to recreate a "Recurring Recordings" list for my custom UI.

If I look at the recurring_recordings table in the DB, I can't see how I would get the channel_OID or the recording type info.
There are some channel_OIDs in the table, but not all. I don't see any recording type info.

I don't know what to cross reference this table with to get the missing data?

The recording type is just derived from what types of elements are in the <Rules>. ie, if it's ChannelOID=0 then it's "all episodes all channels", if the day mask is just Saturday|Sunday then it's Weekend Timeslot, etc.

As mentioned, channelOID 0 indicates all channels.

thanx for the quick response.
I'm still confused (as always)

If you look at the webr.jpg image you'll see the channel description (capt CBS 3 KYW) and type (All Episodes) displayed for SURVIVOR.
If you look at the recurring.jpg I can't see any corresponding data for SURVIVOR.

The rules is a bit of xml, across multiple lines, and whatever viewer you're using there isn't showing you the entire value.

ie, it'll be something like:

Code:
<Rules>
 <ChannelOID>0</ChannelOID>
 <ChannelName>All Channels</ChannelName>
 <StartTime>2026-05-08T19:55:00.0000000Z</StartTime>
 <EndTime>2026-05-08T20:55:00.0000000Z</EndTime>
 <PrePadding>1</PrePadding>
 <PostPadding>2</PostPadding>
 <Quality>0</Quality>
 <Keep>0</Keep>
 <AdvancedRules>title like 'Alaskan Bush People'</AdvancedRules>
</Rules>

Some viewers, if you click on a specific Rules field, will show you the complete multi-line value below.

I'm sorry to be so dense, but are you talking about the recurring-backup.xml file?
I thought we were dealing with the recurring_recording table in the DB?

OK sub, another case of my inexperience.
It was my SQL viewer I was using.

Don't waste anymore time on it.
Thanx!

I'm talking about the RECURRING_RECORDING table. See my screenshot is also only showing the partial <Rules> in the rows of data in the middle pane, but when when I click that cell, it's showing me the full data at the bottom
