So you probably do need the beta or wait to 7.0.6 the beta NPVR.zip is here https://nextpvr.com/beta/linux/NPVR.zip and you can install it with the deb installer

Code:
sudo dpkg -i nextpvr-helper.deb build=beta

Installed the beta and now I see the difference in the UI. Looks more like NPVR.exe from windows.
Since this is a beta does that mean 7.0.6 is near? I'll reinstall over the beta when 7.0.6 is officially out. Right now the web app is bugging me to download ver 7.0.5.
This is what I'm seeing, Version: 7.0.6.260514 (7.0.5.260307 is available for download)
In the meantime I will do some more testing.

I didn't even use dpkg. I just stopped the server, deleted the files in /opt/nextpvr/system/ and copied the new extracted files into that folder, restarted the server.......Done!
User settings are stored in /var/opt/nextpvr.

Great I am glad you get to test the new client server improvement. Sub sets the date for a new build and there is at least one thing unfinished here that doesn't impact your but there are some nice small improvements in 7.0.6 that are worth testing now

Basically what you did is what the dkpg would do.and is how you would go back to 7.0.5 if you need too.

I will try and get the updated deb files tomorrow.

Hi Martin.

Got the X11 version of yauiclient working on my Intel Celeron NUC with the latest version of Mint installed. SD channels work great but the HD channels are in slow motion. Had this issue with LE but you fixed it by overriding the driver https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid607260

Is there a way to do that in Linux Mint?

For the program shortcut or from the terminal can you try

Code:
LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=i965  /usr/bin/yauiclient

and then any conf file setting you might think will help

Great, would you say it corresponds with LE performance?

It looked about the same to me.

One thing I noticed is I can't skip if thumbs are not complete. I watched a Cubs game last night and about 3/4 through the recording the thumbs stopped. I tried skipping with the other skip buttons on the remote but got an OSD popup that said not available.

If the thumb processing fails skipping will stop I have this on my todo list. If you get any OSD that would be from NextPVR not the client (unlike uidroid) yauiclient has no text capability.

Ok. It looked like an image that had a circle with a line through it. Haven't seen that one before.
