Advanced Recording Scheduling question

I was given a simple request by my wife.
"How do I record a program Monday, Wednesday and Friday skipping Tuesday & Thursday which are repeats of old programmes".
(without setting up 3 separate repeating recordings)
 
I said use the Advanced Scheduling but then hit a snag.
I don't see anything in the wiki that gives a full description of the syntax or options that are needed to be entered in the rule.

I went to Kodi as I thought there was a similar option there in the Timers but I only see a setting under Timer reminders not recordings.

Can anybody give me the syntax to use in the Advance Schedule settings please?.

In NextPVR Web application you do have the option to only record NEW episodes. I guess as long as your GUIDE provider indicates NEW vs Repeat, the web should work. Not sure about Kodi.

Kodi is what you want, so you were on the right track. Go the to the guide for the programme you want and click Timer, then use type Recording Repeating Guide (default in Piers no sure about Omega) and pick the "Days of week" you want, with All in "Prevent duplicate episodes"

If you didn't use OTA EPG where valid New flags are not accurate you might be able to record New episodes only

Unfortunately there is no "new" flag in the BBC EPG to act as a filter hence the question.

I've checked Kodi again and can't see any option to set recording by specific day, only reminders.
I know I'd done this previously in Kodi so whether the option has been removed?

I'm using XBian which has Kodi 21.1

No it has not been removed from Kodi. Did you follow my instructions to go in through the guide? If sp perhaps you are using a skin that doesn't implement PVR properly.

Could be the skin I suppose. It's named Confluence.
I know Xbian hasn't been updated for some time.

You don't happen to know the syntax for adding days via the Advanced section in NPVR Web page do you?

Simply change the skin to Estuary. This is not a new feature. The API is not exposed so not an easy thing to do safely
