Seems to be some trouble with NextPVR recording scheduling when RealTimeIsUniversal is enabled in Windows.  This is a useful Windows setting when mixing Windows and Linux systems.  I haven't spent any time investigating yet but I bet the NextPVR recording service might start before that registry setting takes effect as it seems my recordings are off by the 2 hour amount this setting would adjust things for my system.  Perhaps a workaround is making NextPVR service dependent on something or simply delay starting?

I dual boot Linux and Window and have that set. If you think it is timing change the NextPVR service boot to Automatic (Delayed)

Actually, I'm not sure what's going on with it right now.  I was in a rush posting here last time after I noticed something was off.  I have all the clocks in my various systems synced now (all the same as Windows using RealTimeIsUniversal), but NextPVR is still doing something strange that I can't figure out.  In the taskbar icon, it's often red, indicating a recording is active yet when I check the TV Guide, there is nothing going on.  When I right-click the taskbar icon and then Show Status, it shows the name of the recording but there is no match at all shown in the TV Guide.  When I started this thread, I did see a matching recording in the TV Guide that was 2 or 3 hours in the past.  I'm not seeing any matching recording today.  Very strange.

I've clicked on Empty EPG and Update EPG a few times now and still see the same issue.  My EPG contents are coming from OTA only, refreshed every 6 hours since the amount some providers send is so little.  Today I watched these mystery recordings and the contents are indeed what the tray icon said they were.  So apparently the TV Guide I see in my browser is not updating correctly but the Scheduled Recordings are correct.  This is so strange.  Maybe I need to manually force delete or reset all the contents of my EPG somehow?

I should note that this was never a problem with the previous version of NextPVR I had been using for years prior to upgrading recently to 7.x from 6.x.

I suspect it is a timezone problem in your browser. 2-3 hour is odd though, since NextPVR uses UTC and that doesn't in the US. f you upload the zipped logs we can probably help you narrow this down, more likely it is how you changed time sync on your systems.

This morning the taskbar icon was red, indicating actively recording, which was true, and the show being recorded DID exist in the guide at the current time but it was not highlighted red in the TV Guide like it usually is, even after a browser refresh. It was a valid Scheduled Recording (a Series, as most of mine are).

I was just hoping there was an obvious and easy answer that I was just overlooking for some stupid reason. I'll post some logs once I find some consistency if I can't figure this out on my own. Thanks for the replies and clues.

Nothing obvious but that is to be expected without logs. Basically without logs you are wasting our time.

OK, whatever is going on is still happening and I can't make heads or tails of it.  I've attached the log files and a few screenshots.  Note the current time in the TV Guide is about 11:44 am, the Device Status (from taskbar icon or Device Status - both match) shows actively recording Bonanza which doesn't start until 2 PM according to the TV Guide.  Recordings under Bonanza shows there is indeed a recording Pending at 2 PM.  It's confusing because it appears to be actively recording according to the Device Status yet shown as Pending in the Scheduler.  I'm not certain, because I haven't looked at all the recent recordings, but it appears to be recording what it says it is even when the TV Guide display does not match.

PS. After posting the above reply, I rebooted that computer and received no warning that a recording was in progress (like I used to see whenever the Status was red and showed an active recording). Interestingly, after the reboot, the taskbar icon status is now green like it should be. I can only assume it wasn't actually recording and this is some sort of bug in the taskbar icon that came into existence either with the new version or is somehow related to RealTimeIsUniversal and/or OTA EPG times. I'm stumped.

Your logs show you often record and update the EPG at the same time which is what is causing the problem with the guide not showing the recording, I speculate the EPG event ID you are recording no longer exists. Don't use the guide use the scheduled recordings view to check.

The full logs don't go back to the 10th but I do see that Bonanza (note yesterday not today) didn't stop most likely because you have an EPG update scheduled for 3pm which caused the logic at the end to fail. That is the problem not time. This is why the earlier you send logs the better. Maybe send the logs at the end of the EPG update today at 3pm if today's Bonanza episode doesn't end.
