I have been fiddling about with using JellyFin as the front end for NextPVR recordings for a while, so far so good.  I am now starting to look at the new JellyFin 12.0-RC4 release.  I run NextPVR and Jellyfin as separate Docker containers on the same server.  The release notes for RC4 note the need to remove and reinstall any plugins (if you are upgrading), I am not, this is a new clean installation of JellyFin 12.0 RC-4.  I installed the current (?) NextPVR plugin for Jellyfish (v13.0.0 ?) and configured it for my environments.  I  am NOT using the JellyFin Live TV or DVR configuration at all.  I seem to be able to access NextPVR Live TV, Guide and recordings without any problems.

Questions:
1. Is this the correct NextPVR plugin version to use ?  Is there likely to be a revision of the plugin for the new JellyFin 12.x release when this comes about ?

2. Although, as noted above, I can see Live TV and recordings without any visible problems on screen, the Jellyfin log files repeat the following error/warning multiple (lots and lots of) times (http://cmdock-av1:8866 is my Docker NextPVR installation):

Quote:[2026-08-05 01:37:55.319 +01:00] [WRN] [61] Emby.Server.Implementations.Library.LibraryManager: Cannot fetch image from "http://cmdock-av1:8866/service?method=channel.icon&channel_id=7267"
System.InvalidOperationException: Unable to convert any images to local
at Emby.Server.Implementations.Library.LibraryManager.ConvertImageToLocal(BaseItem item, ItemImageInfo image, Int32 imageIndex, Boolean removeOnFailure)
  at Emby.Server.Implementations.Library.LibraryManager.UpdateImagesAsync(BaseItem item, Boolean forceUpdate)

Is it something I need to worry about ? Am I missing something in the setup of NextPVR or Jellyfin or plugin?  I am not sure if this is a NextPVR or a Jellyfin issue but I thought I would start here as I have some history with NextPVR.  I am happy to move it to the JellyFin forums if this deemed necessary

I have attached a recent set of logs below for both NextPVR and JellyFin.

Thanks for any pointers / help.

Chris

I only get involved with the addon if the API changes and I am not seeing anything specially there. Perhaps you didn't download channel icons from SD yet.

I'd focus on making sure you have the correct IP for NextPVR. I didn't see any icon request com in on cmdock-av1:8866 and there is a odd IP of 127.0.0.1 for some calls too. Maybe Jellyfin is caching some earlier bad configurations.

There is too much spam from Jellyfin's extremity aggressive artwork download, for me to look into this in depth.

I have recently downloaded the Channel Icons from SD, however it appears that Jellyfin is trying to load Channel Icons which SD doesn't provide. I use a HomeRun Quatro via an antenna which finds UK FreeView stations, however many them, particularly the higher numbered channels, don't have an SD listing or icon for them. From the example code error given above how can I find out which Channel has ID 7267 as I don't see this as a Channel number in the NextPVR Channels setup (my max Channel Number is currently 5021) ?

You can run http://localhost:8866/services/service?m...ormat=json from your browser with the appropriate IP

However Jeflyfin should know icon exists and skip them, https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-plu...Responses/ ChannelResponse.cs#L44 If the list shows channelIcon false, you need to create a Jellyfin issue.
