Reven have you considered making the MyPictures plugin open source ?

That way you could get another coder with an MVP to look into the issue.

I've run Mypictures 2 & 3 for a while now with MVP and havent had many problems. I did notice that one of the later dongle.bin's was causeing the mvp to crash when displaying picture slide shows, cant say if it was a specific jpeg every time as I cant remeber.
I rolled back to an older dongle.bin and havnt had problems since.

I think sub rolled back the dongle.bin recently in the gbpvr release as people were reporting problems, I had to roll back to an even earlier version, I still have the volume control & play stop icons appearing but it definatly appears more stable.

While im on the subject... Reven a handy feature for me would be able to browse pic directories and at the press of a button archive specific pictures to a directory mirror.
I have loads of pics, half of which are crap but the wife has to have final say on which pics are kept and which ones get binned, it would be handy to browse a folder and bin them 1 by 1 to a temp directory so we dont have to be sat at the pc to do it.
Just a suggestion, pat on the back for the MySeries by the way.

Hi Reven
I am sorry, but today I discovered another problem with MyPicture. When I run a slideshow it sometimes skips one or more pictures. Normally I don't memorize the order of photos in my folders, wich normally contains many photos, so I haven't realized the probblem it until today. I was running a slideshow on folder with only seven pictures, so few that I remembered them. Then I wondered why some pictures didn't show when I expected them to.
Then I did a controlled test. Opened a folder with many photos in windows explorer viewing thumbnails while I was watching slideshow on my TV of the same folder. Now that I was able to compare, it was easy to see that now and then the slideshow skips one, two or even three pictures.
I was running the slideshow with 5 sec interval, plenty of time to load each jpg file, they are not that large.
It is random wich pictures are skipped, second run skips other pics than first run etc. Running GB-PVR on the PC or via MVP makes no difference.

it could be your machine, i havent noticed this. try turning off transisitions and increasing the slideshow interval.

Last night, we cycled through a folder of just over 1400 pictures. It worked fine. (this was via MVP). I haven't updated the plugin recently, but I have noticed one bug. This might have been resolved already.

On my TV via MVP, I have to use the stretch feature to get the picture looking correct. What happens is if a picture is sideways, and I rotate it to view on the TV, the stretch is applied the wrong way. I think it stretches, then rotates. This is not a big deal, as I come across pictures, I rotate them on the PC correctly. I use ACDSEE's JPEG transform to rotate without any recompression of the JPEG.

if i recall the stretch is done at the last step (in the draw method) so rotating it should work fine, it would rotate the image and then stretch it when drawing it.

Could it be that it is stretching last, but the direction it stretches doesn'c change when rotated? I'll try it again, and do some tests.
