Newbie Question

Here's what I plan to do.

1) Purchase Hauppauge WinTV-Go-Plus (Link)
2) Er, watch TV on my computer

Question:

The WinTV-Go-Plus does NOT let you pause Live TV. Is this software limitation or hardware? Considering I am on this site, I will be downloading GBPVR.

There is a big chance you won't be able to use gbpvr with that card. GBPVR is only for cards with a harware mpg encoder, and if that card does not have a such... I'd recommend buying a pvr-150 instead.

I'd highly recommend that, yes.

You can get the 150 MCE card for about $75. Sometimes you can get them with a rebate. It works great but does not give you a remote or IR blaster. It depends on what features you want. It does come with an FM tuner.
