Im trying to convince a friend to set up a pvr computer but he has a question i dont know so I figured id ask here. He has digital cable with a set top box that controls which channel is shown. Can an IR blaster that comes with the pvr-150 change the channel automatically at a certain time to record a show? I dont use the ir blaster since I have analogue cable and wasnt sure if it only retransmitted the remote signal to the set top box or if the card could do it on its own for schedualed recordings.

GBPVR will use the blaster to change the channel (if set up correctly) if the STB is supported by Hauppauge. Check the bottom of this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=8743&page=2 for a link to supported boxes.
