Its still pretty rough at the moment, with quite a bit of stuff still to be finished, so I'd rather not get people using it just yet, but if you remind me about this time next week then I'll give you access to a prerelease.

Here is a skin I've been playing with. Started with standard blue skin and ajusted skin file randomly until I worked out what it all means. Plain and simple. Any resemblence to meedio sunset skin is not complete coincidence.

Looks damn fine to my eyes but its all a matter of taste.

Yes I was worried it might when I was copying the background file and matching the fonts from the meedio directory on my hard disk.

I made the meedio clone skin because I use GBPVR for the fine recording and tv card viewing functions and meedio because I like the ability to have milkdrop visualisation when playing music.

I put the image up in this thread to show my personal preference for clean and simple skin style. Simple non idiosyncratic buttons, clean text with a neutral background. I looked at some Xlobby skins recently and many were far too "busy" to my eyes.

I have to say I was surprised how easy it was to change the skins around. - though I haven't added any clever functionality just changed the look and placement of bits already there.

Hi Tipstir,

The jpeg I posted (if it is to that you refer) is a screen grab which I then trimmed in paint shop pro to remove windows menues etc.

"My" skin really is 720x540 (for 4:3 with round circles and a reasonable compromise between 480line NTSC and 576line PAL) but the screen grab has changed that. The wrong size of the jpeg will be added to my list of incompetencies :-). When I get around to actually using myHTPC software (rather than just playing with it and fighting girder) then I will make a new skin @960x540 for 16:9.

Is there actually anything on TV worth watching nevermind recording? Surely it cant be as much fun as playing with dshow graphs.
