HTTP 1.1 (IE6) corrupts ZIP downloads

Sorry if someone has posted this before - I thought I'd pass it on anyway.

I've been getting corrupt ZIP files when downloading from the forums (mentioned by others also in various threads).

I've discovered that turning off the 'Use HTTP 1.1' option on the Advanced page under Tools -> Internet Options fixes this.

Hope this helps some people - it was really beginning to bug me.

I don't know whats actually causing this, but that sounds like a good work around, I might recommend one other option....there is a really good download manager that you can use called Free Download Manager (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org) which works *really* well. This way you can leave HTTP 1.1 enabled.

I have been using a download manager called "NetTransport 2" for over 2 years. It's free, and works extremely well.
