Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice on my next step.

I've got an Epia-M (nehemiah) in a Morex Venus case working with the older Hauppauge Nova-T (909) PCI card to deliver digital live tv via gbpvr.

I'd like to get a remote control set up. I saw in an earlier thread Sub state that the older Nova-T card, when used with the required Technotrend BDA driver, doesn't support the bundled Hauppauge remote, so effectively this is ruled out (unless anyone has managed to set this up successfully?).

Otherwise, would an infra-red receiver that can be mounted in a drive bay work with gbpvr? Example of what I mean below ...

The device you linked to is a IRDA it's not a ir remote reciver for remote controlers. Its for data transfer. You could find a way to use a PDA with that type of unit but you might have better luck with a remote wonder (ATI) or IMON (soundgraph) or sevral other products that can be enhanced with Girder if needed.
