for a default-skin this won't work since the task-images are from mediaportal.

I like the look of this but I don't know if I am a fan of the task images. I'd have to try them and see or maybe a way to toggle on and off.
I would request that the current date and time information be shown on the main menu.

Good Job.

To turn off task images (or turn them on), open skin.xml in notepad from the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\skinname\main menu folder.
At the bottom, find the line
Code:
<SpecialElement name="TaskImage" visible="false" loc="460,100" size="300,300"/>
Change "false" to true if you want them ON.
Save the file as "skin.xml" including the quotes, or it will save as skin.xml.txt and cause a crash.

What about removing the second oval and placing the task image to the right of the menu options within the main oval?

Kinda like this?

(BTW, the two ovals resemble the logo)

if you follow that through a bit more, could you make the menu the basic shape of the logo (with the G in the background) and put the task image in the upper bubble? maybe default the task image to replicate the * when there is no task mage available for a plugin?

how would that look?

or maybe....have the horizontal menu like dottore has sampled, and whatever menu item has the focus sits in the middle of the bottom portion of the logo?

im no skinner/programmer though so tell me to shut up if you like lolBig Grin
