xGuide: Colour coding by category?

I have searched all over the place, but I can't find any settings for enabling colour coding by category in xGuide (e.g. red for movies, blue for news, etc).

I presume it is under my nose and I am just not spotting it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've been meaning to ask how you turn it off. I tried commenting them out, but it just made them all go white instead.

Where are the stock color files with the new version of XRecord? I've been searching but can't seem to find anything... I tried downloading your zip but it won't open even when using Free Download Manager.

Duhhhh...brain dead, looking in the wrong folder. Is there a switch to turn off all genre color coding or do I need to edit all the genre's?

there is a switch in horiz-schedule called meta data set to false.

I had been in that area before, trying to mankey around and get the layout back to the default guide layout (60min, 5ch, or whatever it is currently). Even though you have those settings, I couldn't manage the resizing of the boxes/grid to fill the space properly.

I would love it if there was, in addition to the horz/vert, an option to use the "old" or "basic" grid layout more easily. I had to stop using XGuide as the default since the switch because from across the room on a tube TV, it is too hard to read (esp for the wife, who already needs glasses for subtitles).

I still use XGuide often, but just for myself, and to get at power-recording options via the guide (often easier than searching).

My normal listings are still white - I tried changing to the Hex code for black and even just to Transparent - nothing is working. I want to make sure I'm looking at the right file & XML code.

I'm editing skin\SkinName\guide2j\skin-schedule.xml
Line:
<NamedColor name="NormalListing" color="Black"/>

I still get DarkGray text on White. Is there something I'm not editing right? Thanks.
