If you dont have the recycle bin enabled, then enabling it should provide a work around.

Thanks! I won't worry about falling back to the older version right now, then. My Recycle Bin was enabled from the beginning, with the maximum setting apparently being 3.99 GB on Windows 2000, and does not make any difference for me, even with files that are smaller than 3.99 GB.

Strange, now the delete problem has gone away for me!

In version 9.5.11 I had some problems with the EPG (all programs appeared twice in the TVguide, but never mind that).

It resulted in reccording conflicts. Some of these conflicts did not have the delete option (should it always be there?!)

So I tried deleting the conflicts by emptying the EPG. I got an empty TVguide except for the conflicts?!. All pending recdings were also gone except for the conflicts.

Another problem I have is with FM radio on the MPV (there is no sound, I noticed it in version 9.5.11 and 9.4.15). Due to other problems I did not have FM radio before (only one of the 2 tuners in my Hauppauge PVR500 delivers sound)

Maybe you can fix the empty EPG bug(?)
Do you have an idea on the FM Radio (It works just fine on my PC, so does TV on both my PC and the MPV)

Very cool Sub - sounds like you hit all the problems I've experienced with my setup.

Unfortunately though, I'm getting a 404 when I try to download the new file, either from the link here or the "download" link from the main page.

I've disabled downloads earlier today while I look at a problem that can cause season recordings to end up in the 'manual recordings' directory. This one is important enough that I have to fix it. If it wasnt for this bug, next release would be after christmas sometime.

At this stage, I'm planning to do a release with two fixes in it:

Quote: - Removed feature that deletes files via the recycle bin. It seems to cause a problem for some users, and I cant be bothered looking into it.
- Fixed a bug that could cause guide recordings to be saved in the 'manual recordings' folder.

Any chance in the next release that you can take a look at why the screen saver doesn't kick on the MVP? I know plasma burn-in is supposed to be a thing of the past, but I still worry.

I have run into a strage problem while playing music in v0.95.14. When I make a playlist it plays the first song fine, but then stalls when it's about to play the next one. I can get it to continue to the next song by pressing Skip (>|) and then Replay (|<), but then it stalls again when it gets to the third song in the playlist.

It didn't happen in v0.95.11, and it only happens when I have UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio set to "true", did something in this area change between v0.95.11 and v0.95.14?

I have tried to disable all the second part music plugins, but it still happens.

Here is a log where I 1) add an album to the playlist, 2) listens to the first song, 3) GBpvr stalls as it's about to play the second song, 4) I press Skip (>|), 5) GBpvr plays the third song.

Quote:I am still having the same issue with delete, and the wife is on the other tv watching through MVP #2 and I am on MVP #3 and I can hear her trying to delete what she has watched.
That will be caused by the deleting via the recycle bin. As I said above, this is one of the two things I'll address in the build I'm going to put out:

"- Removed feature that deletes files via the recycle bin. It seems to cause a problem for some users, and I cant be bothered looking into it"

Quote:Delete won't work in XRecord either just to let you know.
XRecord probably just uses the GB-PVR function for deleting a recording, so it'll be the same thing.

I did find the cause for this, so the list of fixes is now:

Quote: - Removed feature that deletes files via the recycle bin. It seems to cause a problem for some users, and I cant be bothered looking into it.
- Fixed a bug that could cause guide recordings to be saved in the 'manual recordings' folder.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the next song in playlist to not automatically start playing with UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio set to true.
