Well wait a minute, I have more than one person mention that they like 'em. And I do appreciate the positive feedback.

I dont think its futile. Bigger fonts etc are going to fare better across the board, so still worth looking at. I was just pointing out that the quality of picture can vary widely based on the TV, so its not all skin.

One of my TVs, an old 21" Sony, looks great with the MVP, regardless of which skin is used.

I'm thinking of asking NightWalker to help me out again...

By the way...

I wonder if anyone would mind doing an experiment for me. In order to accomplish this, you would have to meet the following requirements:
  1. Have an MVP
  2. Have the a Color Collection
  3. Be able to create simple jpg files (or I could provide them)
  4. Be able to change Collection background files
  5. Understand the following description

I would like for you to start with a solid black "Background.jpg", ie. brightness = 0, saturation = 0.

Then incrementally increase brightness in the background file by 10-20 percent.

At each increment, judge the visiblity on you MVP.

Respond with your comments from, "stupid waste of time" to "amazing", or whatever.

Thanks,
-David

I'd just like someone to test 2 of my skins (BlissRoyale and BlueBasic), on an MVP, and tell me what sucks! Big Grin

Okay, I think it's ready. I've tested it and tweaked it to death... but I just can't test every possible way people will use it and for me and the wife, it looks and works good for all the stuff we use. haha

Here's a link to my post in the Community Announcements section: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=11263

Feel free to provide feedback there so we don't clutter up this thread unless it's pertinent to overall skin design which would help all of us Smile
