I wondered if skin support for a (full screen) red light "RECORDING" might be helpful?

Currently the task bar icon changes colour when recording. I use this a lot before I decide to do something that may require a restart or use heaps of CPU or bus. (i.e. it dosen't seem like a good idea to defrag while recording )

But you can't see the task bar on full screen. Yes, Some of the skins display text "recording now........." but it this cycles through other information and is not always obvious.

You can set the VA Panel to do that, on my skin it shows a red bar that stays there no matter what else the panel is showing. By default the VA Panel will show a red button that'll stay on the main menu for as long as GBpvr is recording.
