Update now posted at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/Weather

From the change log:
* Added additional weather types to the mappings between text and icons
* Added an option (set in the configuration app) to specifiy a language translation for detailed forecasts. The translations are done using google’s translation page, so the results may not be very good
* Fixed a few small bugs

No skin changes. The translations are for people that use GBPVR in a language other than English. The detailed descriptions from the MSNBC site are all in English. If you configure the plug-in to display them in a different language (French, German, Spanish, etc.) then it will try to do so.

Jeff,

"Fixed a few small bugs"...what were they? I've never found anySmile Actually, the only thing I have noticed is occasionally the detailed forecast is too long and goes off the screen at the bottom.

The bugs I fixed may have been ones that were never publically released. I had an internal version where I broke something and I couldn't recall if the same bug was in the public version. As to the detailed forecast going off the bottom of the screen, that can be fixed in the skin.xml file. If you look in the file you will see a composite image named DetailedForecast. If you look down in the this you will see an item named @Description with a size parameter. In the default blue skin it is size="540,325". If you change the 325 to something smaller that will shrink the height of the text box used to display the details. On my machine 325 is the exact size needed to keep long text from running in the buttons below, but I've noticed that fonts don't always seem to be exactly the same on all machines, so it might be too large for yours.

This is my favorite plugin! One suggestion. When it is well below freezing it still says "chance of rain". We'll be getting some form of precipitation, but it won't be rainWink

I saw the same thing the other day. Smile I had to laugh. Rain would have been an interesting sight at -10f.

There is not a way to manually add them yet. However if you post it here, like you have done, I can add it to the next release.
