Tuners and CPU

I've had my GBPVR up and running for a while now and my brother-in-law is having me build him one. My install was set up on a tight budget. This install doesn't have that kind of restriction. He wants a gaming machine with PVR functionality. Here is what we are sure on right now.

Silverstone LC-16m case
Hiper Type-R 580W PSU (blue)
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo
Corsair 2 gb TWINX2048-3500LLPRO RAM
Soundblaster X-Fi ExtremeMusic 7.1
3x WD SATA 250 GB drives
2x Gigabyte GeForce 6600GT 128 mb
Windows XP Pro

We are looking at the Athlon 64 x2 3800+ processor.

First question: Should we go with this processor or the Athlon 64 FX?
Second question: We want to go with dual tuner cards on this. Which ones would you recommend?

If you see anything else that isn't quite right, let me know. It's been a couple years since I have put together anything this high end. Thanks for the help guys.

The X2 should be plenty, unless he feels the difference in the FX is worth the extra cash.
If you don't need a remote, or are willing to go with a 3rd party remote, then the PVR-500 would be my choice. If you do need a remote, then a PVR-150 retail and a PVR-150 MCE version would work.
I prefer the 500 and the Firefly remote, because it's RF, and doesn't need line of sight to work.
