girder directional keys impotent when visualization active

here is a bit of an odd problem - hopefully someone knows what is going on. i have girder4 setup to send keypresses for remote button presses. this works beautifully except when the visualization for music pops up. with the visualization, all buttons works fine *except* the directional buttons. when the music is stopped (and the visualization disappears) the arrow buttons work once again. i have played with the "window picker" to see if the affected buttons were somehow being sent to the vis window by accident but it appears that all buttons have the same settings. using the keyboard, however, the arrow keys work fine. i know i must be missing something.

forgot to mention that i am currently using the latest gbpvr and contourHC

It'll be something wrong with how you have Girder configured, but I dont really know much about Girder, so I'm not really in a position to help with this.

it was a problem i could overcome in the configuration (although i still don't understand why it only affected certain buttons). for any future loser having the same problem, make sure that you specify a child class (in my case "ATL:478E7A88"). since multiple copies of these child classes seem to pop up over time, you will also need to check the option "only use first match" or girder will send the button press to each copy (and your selection will move 2 or 3 items in any one direction). another (extra) copy of the child class seems to spawn everytime i stop the current playing music and restart some new music. hope this helps.

at any rate, version 3.X of girder doesn't have this problem sending keypresses and v.4 doesn't seem worth the money so i am reverting back. just thought i would give you guys a heads up for anyone who may find themselves in a similar situation.
