Follow links in rss feeds?

I wonder if it is possilbe to make the rss feed follow the links. I'v been looking into the xml sources of some rss feeds and it seems the rss plugin only displays the tags <title> and <description>. If you follow the url mentioned in the tag <link>, usually a longer article is described. Is there some way to also display this text?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but on the newsfeed plugin you could use "Ctrl+q" on your keyboard to bring up the url for that news item, also "pause" will work on your remote.

I tried ctrl-Q but nothing really happens. I checked GBPVR.log.exe and it says "No key mapping found for: ^CONTROLKEY".

What I would like is the following. Here is an extract from the BBC rss feed:
