Putting my first PVR together this weekend.

Hey all, I was wondering if there is any advice out there or experience that would help me avoid problems with installing and getting it all to work.

P4 3.0 Prescott
512 ram
250 gig HD
AIW card
PVR-150 Capture card w/remote
Charter Digital Cable (Has Mistubishi box) May have the serial connection...

I will keep looking around for what I need to know. Is the installation of GBPVR pretty self explanitory? Where do I go to look up my Cables channel guide?

installation is fairly easy. If you get an error saying "Must configure capture source" quit and go back into config.

You are in the US so use zap2it. When you configure your capture source pick zap2it then create an account it tells you how.

Other than that good luck you should not have 'hard' problems.

You didn't mention it, but don't forget that you will need a codec.
