New version of getTrailers was just released.
View the page http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/GetAllMovies for the details.

A few quick things to note. There is now a HD option to download or not dowload HD trailers. Works farily well (~80% of the time) still a work in progress though. Had to completely rewrite the code to determine if a trailer was high res or low res that you wanted and got the right one. This is now much much more acurate though still misses some (again another sork in progress Smile )

As always if you find a bug please post it so I can fix it. Or site message me. If you have a feature request do the same too.

Thanks for trying it out. Big Grin

If anyone just downloaded this please download it again. For some reason the upload updated the date time stamp on the wiki just not the file itself. Should be good now. The file in the zip should say getTrailers1.3
If it doesn't you don't have the newest version.

What does all the trailers cost in space on average? I like the concept, so I was currious about space management.

When I was downloading trailers in the past, the standard resolution trailers (480) usually took up about 1.5 gig in space total. That was with about 40 trailers or 50 trailers downloaded.

So compared with a single MPG recording, not much. Note I tended to keep my entries for a while, so my numbers may be a little biased.

If you run the lowest quality setting to get all 75 available it takes 834 megs. And that is with a few errors in regonizing low quality, but with no HD trailers. Fankly if you are not watching these on either a high res tv or a computer monitor I would never get HD trailers. Though I know some people wanted that option.

Under a gig for all? Very affordable...I'll try it out. Thx.

I'd not connecting right now, so I'll add it later. If it were able to name the files by movie title (if they already aren't), My Videos would be able to grab posters for each, saving you integration. You just need to point My Vids at the trailers dump.

Yes you can point my movies at the directory. They are all saved as the movie name. There are some people using it with the theatre plugin to show the trailers for the movies that are currently at the theatre.

For the record, I assume it will only get what you don't have after the initial download? Just asking to see if I want to run daily.

A question about playing these trailers in gbpvr. I downloaded the quicktime alternative and when I click on them in Windows they play fine, though they launch mediaplayer classic. When I try to view them in gbpvr, they don't play at all. I assume this has to do with the directshowfilter and quicktime alternative, but I'm not sure how to correct it.

I downloaded this: http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm which works great for showing you the decoders installed. The trouble is I'm not sure what I'm looking for with the quick time alternative. Does anyone know the name of the decoder I should look for? Or does anyone have other ideas?

Thanks!
