What I am looking to do?

I have a Dell XPS laptop P4, 3 GHz with 1 GB RAM and USB2. I am looking at using gbpvr with the Hauppauge PVR USB2.

My question is with all of this am I stuck to watching stuff on the laptop or will it actually pipe out to the TV as well?

Everything I read about the PVR USB2 from:

Seems to imply you watch on your laptop or pc and not on the TV. I dont know if that is a function of their hardware or software.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need a video card that has tv outputs or a mvp to send the signals to the tv. The USB2 PVR is only the means of getting the signals into your computer, not out.
