Yes they do - everything looks fine now.

On to a more serious matter.... have you changed the "idle" icon? IMHO the old one was much better :p

Once I've removed the trouble with empty folders and stopped deleting people's installations (sorry, again), I think I'll have nailed all the bugs. All the icons I've ever used are in the executable but I haven't written a settings form yet. Visual Studio 2005 has rather annoying bug where the designer falls over with data-bound controls. Once I've completed the settings form you'll be able to select which set of icons you use along with numerous other things.

Just found a little quirk - when I restart the recording service from the menu it always brings up the warning that I am currently recording a programme, even though I'm not. There is no programme name listed, just blanks.

Version 1.0.

Just a couple of tweaks and installation package tightened up. Thanks for your help and continue to post bugs and feature requests.

nice job. i like having some extra functionality in the taskbar.

one wishlist item that i would like would be an entry which brings up a quick list of say the next 5 items that are to be recorded (time, date and channel would be superb). this is a task that i find myself commonly doing usually with the web interface so i don't have to fire up gbpvr.

If you left-click or hover over the system tray icon, the next four pending recordings are displayed. Or is this not what you meant?

hmm. it seems to me that it was showing me only the next recording, even though i have many queued up. i can't check it right now because it is currently recording so the bubble pop-up thingy only tells me i am recording (which is very nice i might add).

The expected behaviour is this:
  • If you are currently recording an item, they should be listed in the balloon along with the next 2 pending recordings.
  • If you are not currently recording, the balloon should list the next 4 pending recordings.
If this is not the behaviour you are seeing, could you look at the file "SlimmGBPVR.error.log" in the "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr" folder please? If it contains anything other than a start time, post it here? Also could you post the file "SlimmGBPVR.exe.log".

Thanks

ok, i checked these log files and the error log was littered with errors about not being able to access the database. i closed and restarted your tray tool and now the error log is free. i am still only seeing two recordings showing up. they are the only two recordings that will happen today, if that means anything. earlier when it was recording i only saw the listing for the program recording, not the other two pending which it is showing now.

The error log is cleared each time the utility is started. You need to post the "SlimmGBPVR.error.log" when an error occurs before restarting it.

*ponders out loud*
I notice that your install directory is different to the default ("program files\devnz\gbpvr") so maybe my program has got a bug connected with that. I use the database connection string from the "config.xml" file (the one that normally reads "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=".\gbpvr.mdb";User Id=admin;Password=").

I also notice that the icon in the screen grab has not turned green even though GB-PVR is recording. It looks like I can't find your "gbpvr.mdb" file or I do not have permission to access it.

Did SlimmGBPVR.exe and SlimmGBPVRHelper.dll both install to your "c:\program files\gbpvr" folder?

Thank you for going to the effort of attaching the logs and images.
