it would be great if its possible to translate everthing into german (or any other language).

now i had hard edit the dll (sorry) to get my german language shown.

another thing - when using the plugin shown on the main menu, it would be great to
select which drive he should show and what i found out - he is so busy to show the
cpu load, that he cant show the next recordings anymore ...

Just copy that .dll file into your GB-PVR directory (assuming you already installed .02a) and see if it works for you..wish you luck

Hey I got it to work with 1.0 but the plugin would not work with the 2.0a version of the dll which would explain why so many others were having problems (The 2.0a version drops the file in the wrong folder and when you replace the 1.0 dll file located in the plugins folder with the 2.0 dll file you will get the "Object..." error). I tried everything to get the 2.0a version to work but no joy

I was unable to get the temps to show but I have the ipanel working and the menu item plugin working (again except for the temps section). You can read the ReadMe.txt file located in the zip I have included if you need help. I also changed the Sys Info skin to blend with the BlueMCE look and feel... which is also included in the zip file.

For those who store their stuff on their D:\ drive I recompiled the 1.0 source code to display this on the ipanel which again is in the zip file but if you want to display the C:\ drive on the Ipanel you will need to use the original 1.0 SysInfo.dll file as shown in the link provided by GBPVRKid above.

Hope this helps anyone out there... here is the recompiled file & skin with some notes for those having issues getting this working. I would actually like to get the Temperatures to work so if anyone has this working... please send me an email and tell me whatcha did to get it working Oh yeah... to all those who will ask... I did install the MBM5 and added the lines to the config.xml file but again no joy

Don't forget to read the readme.txt file included in the zip file.... Oh and I stopped using this since the System Status plugin is out I also noticed that the Ipanel does not refresh the "Recording soon: nothing" after adding this to the Ipanel

i finally got around to trying to get this to work, and the good news, is that it does work -- specifically the temp readouts. the bad news is that it only kind of works, and sadly the original author left without dropping the most recent source (only a binary). as such, these are the steps i had to take to get it working.

1) downloaded and installed 0.2a version into \gbpvr\plugins (and the \skin folder)
2) downloaded, installed, and configured MotherBoard Monitor 5 (this actually took the most time to get right -- MBM5 is very flexible, which is a detractor at first, but really nice in the end)
3) added the following block to gbpvr's config.xml file (located in \gbpvr)

all in all, it seems to work quite nicely, except for a few drawbacks:
- i don't think the plugin ever closes the I/O access to the MBM .xml file after it reads it, meaning that MBM is unable to write changes -- kind of a big drawback
- no source provided, so no easy way to fix bugs/extend its functionality; however, from the source provided for v0.1 it shouldn't be too difficult to add the parsing of the MBM .xml file for temp readouts


if i get some free time i might take over this plugin, as i have wanted this functionality for quite some time.

i did not test the IPanel implementation.

also, i am running the latest version of gbpvr (0.95.16).

I ended up using the System Status plugin instead but I kept the MBM installed and added a function on my Niveous remote to display the CPU and Case temps onscreen. Keyboard shortcuts exist in MBM that will allow you to do display these temps on screen and since I was already using Girder I just added the function

If Psycik was looking to add some more functionality to the already impressive System Status plugin - I think that temps would be the next logical integration *hint hint*

Yeah the MBM software allows you to save the parsed information in an xml format that is rewritten each time based on a user specified interval.
