MyDVD DVD Author

When setting up MyDVD to burn tv shows without commercials I need to point to the location of DVDAuthor. I cannot find the .exe file to point to. The example shows C:/ as the location, but I cannot select that because it is not an executable file. Can anyone tell me where to find the .exe file for DVDAuthor?

I have, and all it says is that I need to point to DVDAuthor. In the example screenshot, the location is C:/. I cannot select this because it is not a .exe file.

Are you sure you read the documentation? Of course you can't point to a path as an executable, but as the documentation says, you are supposed to download the executable, and then point to that. If you have save the .exe file in C:\, then it should be quite easy to locate.
Reread this part of the wiki, and see if that answers your questions (Note that depending on how you configured MyVideos, references to the "go" button can be replaced with references to the "home" button instead).

OK. In that example, he is pointing to C:/utils/dvdauthor/mplex -f 8 -o
This does not exist on my installation, and I did install it into the c:/utils folder. In this example, it is not pointing to an .exe, which windows will only allow me to do. I do not understand where this DVDAuthor loaction should be. Also, this mplex that ps shown in the example does not exist in the DVDAuthor download. I have downloaded it from a different source, and there is no file called mplex, only mplex.x86

it sounds like you downloaded the source files for dvdauthor, you need to download windows binaries.

Aren't they as quoted in the Wiki? Actually just checked and seems your right they are just the source files! Suggest you do a google search for them!

Thank you. Now, when I try to burn a dvd, it tells me that C:/temp/temp.iso cannot be found. All of the paths are correct, and these folders do exist, so how can I make temp.iso create itself in order to burn dvds?
