Thanks for the app my friend! Finally I can record all those episodes of Good Eats and burn them to DVD without MythTV. I was really getting frustrated with it.

One thing I would like to see is an "Always on Top" option, maybe on the right click menu when you right click on the taskbar icon. I like to have the pvr showing a TV when I am doing some work on the 'puter. It would be nice if the TV window stayed on top of other windows so I could still run them in focus with a little TV box in the bottom right corner on top, but out of focus. Did I explain that clearly?

If you have an nVida graphics card (and I assume Riva has the same options) you can set GBpvr to always be ontop in the nVida menu (right click on GBpvr in the taskbar). It works nicely, espacialy when using a remote :o)

Nice try, but doesn't quite work here. The window behind it goes blue while the GBPVR window goes gray.

Isn't that the point of having one window ontop of another window that's in focus?

The GBPVR window physically stays on top of the other, but it's no longer the "active window" and that's what would be needed.

Is the real problem you have that as it isn't always active it can't be controlled via a remote (it can't be "active" and allow you to work within other windows). The way I've got round it is to make one of the remote buttons make gbpvr the active window, then it can be controlled as normal using the remote. I've added a line into the irremote.ini file so when I press the blue button, GBPVR becomes the active windows, and therefore responds to subsequent remote key presses.

BLUE={run(..\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}

Maybe this would solve the issue?

(nkh, thanks for the suggestion!Wink

Actually, the only time you would need this is if you were not using it on a television but on your computer screen, when you don't need the remote. Having it go out of focus is fine, so that you can type in another app. I just want to be able to type responses in the forums and still watch TV. If I want to change the channel, I can click on the window.

Actually, the whole thing is moot since I found a free program to do it. Try PowerMenu
