Hello,

I have a series of three shows I like to record on the same channel, and between the shows I always loose a minute between when the last show ends and the next shows begin (loosing the punch lines, or a culminating scene).

I'd like to have the ability to choose an option to record 3 shows to a single file (automaticlly), from the TV guide (perhaps having the program automaticlly split the file into the three shows?) so that if a show runs over its time I don't loose the last few minutes.

(I record Sci-fi Friday from 8:00-11:00, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica)

I tried to set the post recording to 125 minutes, but that is limited to 90, I have a manual recording setup but I really don't like that option since I can't set it from the TV guide.

I've been using GB-PVR since I got my TV card (PVR-350) in the middle of last year, it is a great, one of a kind program!

To be honest, I probably wont implement this.

I dont see how if its all the same channel if you set the pre starts on them all just right , i dont see why it wouldnt record them all.. without missing anything . If it goes into 3 seperate files tho you might need to cut and combine with a media editor a few seconds.. But it sounds like your tv stations out of sync with the time.. you could try setting your clocks for recording a bit diffrently so it lines up better. Ive done that with my dvr (disc burner)

Did you check the padding? I'd guess it should work like this:

Show #1: Pre-pad but dont post-pad
Show #2: Don't pad at all
Show #3: Don't pre-pad, but post-pad if you wish

I think this happens auto magically - Assuming you only have one capture board, If one show starts straight after another there is no post pading on the first show and no pre padding on the second.. (of course you may get the last few seconds of your first show in the second shows recording or visa versa if your clocks are wrong or the tv station is running late/early)

Couldn't you just schedule a manual recording of the channel, starting shortly before the first show and ending after the last show? Of course, you couldn't use the TV Guide to schedule the recording, and the file name wouldn't include the show name.

Yep, that would work, but you would have to split the after..

I'll double check the time on my system, and adjust the padding on the shows. I do have a manual recording setup to record everything into one file. Due to limited disk space I usually record and delete after I view.

I do only have one tuner card in my system. It is a PIV 1.8 Intel system.
