My movements are fluid ya..but its like my reds are red enough my yellows are yellow enough and my lines arnt' sharp enough because of it. But my moniter on everything else is fine..

That's how it was w/ that CNN image. It's goign to depend on your tv, but get the haup tweak tool and set the brightness low, and the contrast down. Also try rasing the saturation, and lowering the hue (or rasing it slightly).

Again, your tv settings will matter but I have been using these. Maybe they would be a ballpark for you:

bright -28
contr: 121
sat: 134
hue: -5
sharp: 6

Im viewing on a normal computer moniter Crt flatscreen still Big Grin
I dont have or dont know if the MVP stuff will work with my tuner card? I have a ati theater 550 pro.(im hoping that doesnt matter for the future) but currently i just like to be able to catch missed shows on my pc.. and watch tv while im working on other stuff for breaks.
I would mess with my moniter more.. but its pretty bright any brighter and my whites look ugly for normal computing...i wish i could mess with just the image colors and brights

I also tried messing with stuff but if i max the contrast out and lower the brightness and zoom way low (it makes a better picture) leading me to think 1024x786(or whatever its set at) is too high a resolution to show clear tv.. i might try 800x600 in a sec

i Tried 800x600 and it makes it just a tad clearer...making me think its my video card that is having trouble making SUPER CLEAR picture.
OR is it IMPOSSIBLE to get DVD hooked up to a tv clear as crystal quality?
But i do notice the smaller the resolution i view the videos the better the picture.
Anyhow back to the video card..
is nvidias GeForce fx 5200 128mb pci any good (All i have is pci slots)
Or what should i look at to replace it...(and ill pawn the card off to my bro for a few bucks )

Here you go. This is at a bitrate of 4300-5200. It won't look as good on your monitor as it does on my TV (where the res is looser, and it's just a flatscreen tube), but you'll get an idea.

It's from non-digital cable, interlaced, non-post-procressed. I like a near true-medium recording quality, since on a tv, it's always good enough and good-looking.

Capone GitS sample

I'll probably dump the clip tomorrow, so let me know when you've seen it. I didn't reencode to keep it accurate, so it's 12Mb. You may want to right-click and do a save as.

Hmm looking at that its a little darker and has some small stutters around eyes and stuffs.
Mine are a little brighter , like no stutter but some slight blurr...
almost like you know mcdonalds paper bags? how they print outside the lines? its almost like the filling isnt matching the lines lol.
Give me a few minute and ill cut and host a sample of the same show so you can see my quality.. maybe im complaining about crappy quality and mines good ... ?!? (i do have to convert it from itself format... to itself in order to save the cut i dont have a normal just edit software... lol so im not sure if ill loose quality converting recordings to mpeg2...
When i view mine and yours over and over it seems mine is actually better when viewed on my comp..just lower audio levels (mines not as loud... maybe i need other decoders.. i dunno but i dont know where to get any)
Im uploading mine to a place now for you to look. And i guess tv's are the best spot to show a tv show you recorded... there resolutions like what 450x600 or 500x600 or something? you show it on a screen 1200x760 something and in 1/4 the corner of course it looks better smaller then full screen....
What device do you recommend to be able to watch my recordings later on my tv? Im not sure what all this MVP stuff is..
and i dont have my cable box hooked to my comp im getting basic cable/1digital channel right now..while my living room gets like 300 + 100 music/sports channels and a bunch of ... other junk....ppv and all that.
