- Did you replace the batteries in the remote with new ones?

- Have you made sure that the remote sensor is properly plugged into the correct port on the PVR-150 card and you're aiming the remote at it?

If your remote is broken, you can order a new one from Hauppauge.

A cheaper alternative to get a replacement remote like "OneforAll" URC-6131 and then have them program it for the PVR-150/250/350. I just had that done to mine and I really like it.

If it works after you reboot, and then stops working, it's probably the 150 remote bug. Update your drivers and it will likely go away.

Curious you said ""OneforAll" programmed your remote, did you do it over the phone?? If so what is the code they used.

Just got into JP1 for my "OneforAll" 8910 remote, works "great" with GBPVR, however I ended up "learning" most of the funtions. If "OneforAll" has a specific code for the Hauppauges - let me know. I did download code 1992 from them last Friday - didn't work well with my model of remote.

Under JP1 I was able to assign a macro to the device keys, really helps when switching TV, Receiver, DVD inputs - one device key press and the macro does the rest - quit cool.

I had to send my remote in for programming. I mailed it to them and had it back in about a week.

I am aware of the "JP1" capability. The remote I sent in didn't have the JP1 connector, but they one they sent back to me had it, so I may play with that someday, because the macro you are describing sounds like a very nice thing to have.

What they added to my remote was "1992" code and it works fine with both my PVR-250 and the MediaMVP.
I have actually two or three of those remotes laying around the house, so now I need to send the other two in so they can program them for me.

Do you think this remote would work with a PVR-500? I really like the look of the remote, and the fact that it can work with GB-PVR. Do you use an IR blaster at all, if so how well does it work? Because I have a cable box. Last question, how much did it cost to send in the remote for them to do that?
