Yeah, I'll add the remove, and put in some better checking of the xml document. What to you think of the actual look. i find it boring....but not quite sure what to do with it.

I think it looks good - I did change the black background XML Viewer in the skin.xml file to the same blue colour as BlueMCE2 uses Otherwise I am happy with it. If you were planning to release just an XML viewer plugin then you could offer Left/Right/Center justify options but I am totally cool with everthing the way it is Thanks again

Hey Psycik,
I got a small issue with the SystemStatus plugin, I just noticed this recently. When I enter the plugin and view the EPG menu item I get a list of days on the right panel that tells me the number of items for whichever days but.... if I highlight one of those items and hit enter... I get an error message (I can't provide more specific details as the g/f is currently watching recordings). Do you think that this would be a skin thing or a problem with the plugin? (I am using BlueMCE2) Thanks,

Shouldn't be skin, especially not blueMCE, since I do all my dev for that one anyway.
I've just done it on mine with no problems......but I have changed some stuff. Do you want to post up your skin file on how it looks, and I'll release this properly. It's got a remove button and some error checking on the xml document.

Error 1 After actually reading the error I know what one of my problems are. I remember when adding channels it added everything almost perfectly except there was something about channel 48 being entered incorrectly so I manually added a channel and removed the checkmark in the config for the channel 48 that the system had entered. I guess that is why I get the error. The error I get is "Error: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: "48 Environment Canada" Key being added "48 Environment Canada" Error 2 Here is a screenshot of a different error I am getting when viewing the application log. Steps I take to generate this error: 1. Highlight Log Viewer --> Enter 2. Highlight Application (I think this may happen on System too) --> Enter 3. Highlight log entry in the middle of the list --> Enter 4. Scroll up to view previous entry using the up button 5. When the top of the list is reached the index is out of bounds

Good spotting. Will fix that. also found that when way down in one of the event logs, and then go up a level (..) it doesn't reset the list length so even those there are only three entries it keeps trying to scroll down.

2006-01-23, 07:00 PM
Yeah I can. Interface with the VA panel has been on the cards for SS since I started it, for warnings of EPG data and the like. I've just never got around to doing it.
I think my only "issue" with sticking information into the VA panel, is what information, and do you really want me to determine if 'x' reading is to hot or not. I.e should I just display the information or should I be looking at it as well and making jugement calls on it. Theoretically, your MBM should already be looking at the temperature and deciding if that is too hot and doing something about it...reboot, warning email, sound etc.

First off, great pluggin. I was reading another threat that pointed me to this pluggin as it was written in vb.net. I am wanting to write one of my own and was wondering if I could get the sourcecode for your pluggin to use a baseline/starting point/tutorial. Thanks in advance
