Build 16 was made after extensive retesting leading to many small corrections and heuristics improvements thanks to the test files I received from users all over the world.

Is there any parameter to adjust to make that work? Didn't work on the couple of test videos I have.

Also, this may be a noob question, but is there a priority in the detection methods? For exemple, in the video I was testing, the channel logo isn't in that initial segment. Would the missing logo supercede other detection methods?

I have been using this version since you released it and it has been working great for me. I do have one problem. I have had this issue for some time now since around release 76 or so. Some shows when playing them back get to about 2 mins left and GBPVR ends. The OSD does not show that there are commercial breaks there but GBPVR will not let me play the last 2 mins. When I delete the comskip files then I can play the whole video.

I have attached the text and log file created by comskip.

In this example my son could not watch the last 2 mins or so. The mpeg file size is 700 meg if you want I can send you a link to the file so you can down load or I can upload it to you.

I have the exact same problem. If you turn off "auto skip" in config you can manually skip instead using key input as a work-around. This way it won't jump at the end.

Thanks for the hard work. Dl'd this version and the results have improved most dramatically from about 50-60% accuracy to at least 85%! These numbers are with no tweaking on my part.

I'm in the US on Cablevision in Northern New Jersey

Sean:

The comskip.ini file contains the setting
delete_show_after_last_commercial=1
This will instruct comskip to delete anything after the last commercial found.
If you change this to
delete_show_after_last_commercial=0
The last part will not be deleted.

I found another possible reason for this strange "skip last 2 minutes" behaviour.
I did add a very small 1 frame commercial at the end of the recording to signal the total length of the recording in the edl file, I did the same for the .txt file.
Please try to delete the last 1 frame commercial in the .txt file and see what happens.
if this solves it then i will delete it.

Nice job, I always had a few commercial usually , but this version works nicely with the last 3 shows I have recorded (ABC NEWS, Family matters and 24) and got no commercials and it hit the start and stop time as if I was doing the video edit. These shows are on 3 seperate stations. I typically use a large padding when I record beause my server slips about 4 min a day. (I'll fix that later with a batch file). Just to wanted to know if you are interested in the excel spread sheets for these shows. I live in NJ and have comcast as my cable company if anyone would like to see the comskip.ini file I used I'll attach it here.
