Yes, but the FFMpeg command line is unique and applied to all files served to the MVP. That works as long as all your AVIs have the same aspect ratio, which is rarely the case. Some of my files need resizing, some need borders and some need cropping.

Creating AVS files and playing the .avs instead of the .avi allows you to correct each file individually.

So to summarize: if all your files have an identical AR, use the FFMpeg command line to correct it. if not, either re-encode all your files to the same AR, or use .avs files.

Using AVS files also increase your CPU needs. My AthlonXP 3000+ can barely do the job...

This seems to meet my needs exactly, thanks LilY0da. However I can't get AVISynth to work.

I've installed it, created a .avs file, but GBPVR won't play the file (I get red text saying "M failed to suggest a compatible PCM form" and the filename.

My avs file currently just contains one line

AviSource("f:\movies\Kill Bill Volume 1 (1of2 2003 DVD XviD).avi")

as suggested on http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?page=YourFirstScript

Can't seem to find much documentation so would be very grateful for any assistance.

I use DirectShowSource and not AVISource myself.

Aside from that, there ain't a lot I can think of... You have the latest version of GBPVR? Can you play the .avs file in media player classic? Are you sure your gbpvr process has access to your F drive?
