Now Im the goto guy for all my buddies computer problems, so Im no noobie at any of this, but this GBPVR is Fu****!!!

I dunno what to do with this...I got the Hauppauge PVR 150 with the default sotware and all works fine...

BUT this GBR stuff wont do a dam thing...This is my second time tryin to get it to work, first time everthing seemed right but there was nothing being displayed...Second time, when I click on Live TV I get error message of: "Unable to load hcwIRblast.dll" but the bloddy remote works with the winTV2000...Weird...Does anyone what the problem is there? I know Im missing the dll file but if the remote works I shouldnt need it, where am I gonna find it and how to install it??

First time I had this installed it wouldnt let me setup the configuration unless I had the EPG source in there, I could not set it to none, the software would not save the configuration unless I had an EPG source...I am not using the tuner just got S-Video and Audio in through the PVR 150...

There are 2 S-Video connections to choose from in the configuration and i read somewhere you should always choose the first one...Thats what I done but still no video....

Please help!!!

that's not what gbpvr is designed for. you'll have to use wintv for s-video-input.

concerning the hcdirblast it seems you configured something wrong, since you want to use your pvr150 and not an ir blaster.

don't forget, it's free software, don't be unkind.

Yeah I know I was a bit harsh there, I was going to edit it out but got lazy after i had a lockup...My BAd...Its me whos Fu**** not the software...

Th S-Video part, why is there a spot to select the S-Video if it will not accept it?? Just seem weir tome to have it there and not work...

But I guess Im SOL for the GBPVR, I love the look and feel of it, looks more professional and has more options than WinTV2000, thats pretty basic...So does all the other unfree PVRs not use S-Video input as well or are there any out there that will work with S-Video???

Thanks...

It looks like you've configured your capture sources to use the 'Hauppauge IR Blaster' as the channel changer, but dont actually have the Hauppauge IR Blaster, or didnt install the drivers for it. This is nothing to do with the remote control. The IR Blaster is used for controlling an external set top box.

You can set up a capture source for the SVideo input if you want.

Cool...I forgot that I didnt install the blaster remote, Im not gonna use it so I didnt install, stupid me...

The other guy said S-Video didnt work on the PVR but I figured it had to since you guys had the options there and WinTV2000 works with S-Video...

Now I can get the Live TV open but its just a black screen...Im currently recording a program using WinTV2000 so that maybe blocking it, not sure if both can access the signal at same time...

I will post to let you guys know if I got it or not after the recoding...

Thanks again...

Only one application can use the card at a time.
