I'm going to move my 150 into a dedicated PVR (server) box and add the MCE. The set up various PC's in the house as clients. I'm going to use the MCE remote on a WIN2k box in the living room.

Does the 150 MCE upgrade's remote also have the two blaster cables? Do you know if the blaster is supported by W2k/GB-PVR?

It has two blaster ports on the back but I think it only came with one cable. a mini-jack to ir-emmiter. I don't have any set top box's so didn't even look at the blaster part. As Understand it with the replacement driver http://www.byremote.com.au/Hip/mce_remote_faq.htm You can make work. I was able to get the receiver working with this driver under Win2K. I think with HIP you can get the blaster working. But I cant test this because I have only the most basic cable (no set top box- Yep I'm cheap).

Oddly enough my MCE kit included the pvr150 but it does not have an FM tuner. A regular oem type PVR150MCE is supposed to have a FM tuner.

Do you know if the All in One will work with the PVR500? If not, can you suggest one that will?
Thanks

I'm not sure what you are asking? Are you asking about the remote contoller I use or one of the remote receivers talked about?

The remote itself is not a PC remote its a universal remote that can be use for any ir device (if your willing to use JP1). You need to have a IR receiver. I would suggest the MCE remote and receiver because it's cheap. But I also use the IMON receiver/remote, and the Hauppauge 45 button remote with my PVR150. The MCE and Imon are both USB receivers. Do you have an IR receiver of any kind?

Thanks for the info.
I have a wireless mouse and keyboard but don't see how that will help. I've searched for the MCE remote by itself and it's hard to find. It seems to be readily available with OEM cards. No one in my area has it by itself (Comp USA, Best Buy and Circuit City).
Wouldhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie..._Stores_IT work for me?

Is your wireless keyboard IR (infared) or RF(radio)? If its IR you could get it to work with a learning remote.

Yeah! That was my orginal thought. I was going to try to find a cheap IR keyboard and use it as my input for a remote. All I would need to do was have my remote "learn" the key combos needed to run a specific application. One other thing you could try is to use Girder or HIP with a keyboard plugin. Its possible you could turn your IR keyboard receiver into a "universal" receiver. I would grab HIP and give it a go. Any remote using the same code type as your keyboard could work.

Let me know how it works.
