For months, whenever I made anything in the microwave, the wireless connection (I'm using 802.11g) would drop. I posted something on a different forum and was told that a microwave intereferes with the whole 2.4GHz spectrum, so there's not much you can do except to move the bridge or router out of the way of the microwave (neither of which I could do).

I recently mentioned this to my friend, and he asked if I had tried changing the channel in the router setup page. I hadn't, and when I did, the problem completely went away. (I changed the setting from 8 to 1).

I'm not to well-versed with wireless, so perhaps this is common knowledge, but I thought I'd pass it along in case someone else runs into a similar situation.

My microwave intrfears with my 2.4g phone (when in the kitchen) but doesn't seam to bother my wi-fi. My phone on the other hand will sometimes interfear with my wi-fi. I think my phone grab's a different channel each time its used. Sometimes its a problem sometimes its not.

I struggled with my 2.4g phone killing the wireless... so a few FAR 5.8g phones on Black Friday did the trick Smile
