New Version: v40 alpha

Here's a new build. Read the readme in the zip file for the info.. hopefully this should work for most folks.

Also It lists shows that haven't even recorded yet.
Is there anything I can send you that might help?

I realized that You zipped the zip file...

now I could install it and this is the result:

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Update: hopefully more IE-friendly

I haven't gotten around to have IE support for the embedded player (that will come in a day or so), but this version should let you launch VLC Media Player. It's a bit strange because IE doesn't support MIME types for VLC (Firefox does).

Because of this, IE probably won't recognize the stream correctly and prompt you to save the metafile.. you would need to save that file to your computer and then have VLC open it.

This is just a short time fix; I'll find a way around it in my next build.

Hey -- this works great!

Have you thought about making the bitrates / resolutions configurable?

Yep, the bitrates and video resolutions will be configurable in the XML file, and you'll be able to change the settings through the web as well. (this way you could change settings remotely when you're away, which is the whole point of this Smile )

Glad it's working out for you!

Still no go. Am I doing something wrong? I can connect, login, click on show, then hit play, and get error on page.

Can you tell me what error you get? (I'm assuming it's a JavaScript error, just click where it says error, and then on the window that opens, hit Show Details and paste that here.
