I would like to use my MCE remote control with GB-PVR.
Do I need Girder for this?
If so, how do I configure it?
If not, what settings do I need to make in GBPVR?
Thank you for your help!

For the most part, you just need to start the config app and set the remote type to 'MCE Remote'. This works with the most common MCE remotes.

If you need to do special stuff like have the 'green windows button' start GB-PVR, then you'll need to look at using Girder or HIP.

Sub? For which Revision of the MCE-Remote your native support works @ gbpvr?

For the older v1 or the newer v2 MCE Remote?

I am asking, because with my WinTV PVR-500MCE (Model 1072 PAL) was a MCE Remote delivered, which don't really work with gbpvr. Only a few Buttons (8?) are working... -.-

And furthermore... i dislike this "eHome Receiver" because i get neverwhere informations about this "driver/receiver" *grml*

I use two MCE remotes everyday.

My lounge PC uses an MCE2004 remote: http://www.i-legend.com/images/MCE_remote.jpg

My main remote in my development PC is a MCE2005 remote: http://shop.mediacomputers.co.uk/acatalo...ceiver.jpg

I know the Cyberlink MCE remote also works with GB-PVR natively.

The Hauppauge MCE remote is apparently a bit different than the rest. I've never seen one myself.

The Hauppauge looks nearly exatly like your MCE 2005. One Exception: Your Buttons above are lightened.
The Remote from the PVR-500 hasn't any lights or transparent buttons.

Unfortunately I'm guessing there is more differences than just looks.

I expect it doesn't have the tv on/off button either. Its probably same as the remote I got with a PVR150MCE kit.

On my Remote is a TV on/off Button (upper right corner), but look yourself:

Nope its not tv on/off its pc on/off. Your remote IS the same as mine. No learning key for tv on/off or volume for tv. (But has volume control for pc)
