support Windows shortcuts

It would be great if the music library supported windows shortcuts.  I have 200-300 CDs ripped into directories by artist.  I programatically create directories and shortcuts that list all the mp3s by genre and artist (by reading the id3 tags).  The problem is that the media library does not "see" the file.mp3.lnk windows shortcuts as mp3 files.  This setup works great with any other standard windows media player (Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Itunes, etc).

If anyone is interested in my "shortcuts by id3 tags" utility, I would be happy to post it. I am a PHP fan, so it's written in PHP, but I'm sure it would be trivial to do in C#.

The shortcuts approach is a nice way to organize music that works in a variety of media players (WinAmp, Windows Media Player and Itunes).
