Quote:I had the upgrade mess mine up in the same way others described, but sadly I forgot to copy my config.xml (guess I let go of control when I selected both files to copy). I have my gbpvr.mdb file though... So copying that file back over won't simply work to save the recordings?
No. The gbpvr.mdb file is not compatible between versions. You'd need to uninstall, delete the GB-PVR directory, reinstall the old version, then copy the gbpvr.mdb back, then try the upgrade again.

It doesnt really matter that you dont have config.xml, as those settings are usually pretty quick to setup again.

lol, yeah it was great timing. Big Grin There was an hour or so where people were able to grab a copy before it bit the dust though.

Sub, thanks for another release! I initially installed over the top of everything okay, but I think there was a problem with a plugin (I suspect My Music Beta 12, but not sure, where everything - tv, music - resulted in "Object not set to an instance of an object"... (I did have to the blue skin)

Anyway, long story short, I have taken the opportunity to clear EVERYTHING out, uninstall, delete the Devenz folder and start from the ground up. So I'm sitting here with a vanilla install, no skins, no plugins.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something with the 'new' video/ preview panel; I'm not seeing anything on my MVP.

I've set gbmvp.bin as the dongle, VMR9 Updated (or whatever it's called), but nothing. On the PC the WMP10 visualisation comes up when playing music, but no video preview.

Is there a setting I need to turn on or something?

Thanks for all the help.

You should have tried ticking the 'disable plugins' checkbox.

If you powered up the MVP with the gbmvp.bin dongle, then if start live tv or playback of a video, you can press the menu key to switch back to the menu and the video will still be playing in the inset window. Pressing the home key again will switch back to fullscreen video.

Duh. I realised this approximately 10 secs after posting - it's official; I'm a dick.

I tried disabling the plugins but I think I had bust something in my config.xml - then gone to bed, got up, and can't remember what I did. Oh well. :o

Thanks sub.

Minor bug:

Go into TV Guide, select a program, choose "Record."

If you try to adjust the "Quality" beyond "High" (ie. two clicks left), you'll get the out of bounds error.

It will then disable keybord input within the program, requiring a relaunch of GBPVR.

S.

PS. Not sure if this bug has been around for a while, but I only noticed it after the upgrade. So far so good, otherwise!

In the latest version, the Net Radio Web stations don't display the "Station," "Song," or "Genre" of the songs playing.

I'm pretty sure it was working in the last build...

Thanks,
S.

Oops. I was experimenting with using Windows Media Player for net radio, which gives you visualisations, but loses station/song/genre info.

If you set <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> to false it'll work the same way as it used to.

There is a separate <[SIZE=2]UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio> setting for the next release

Ah, right you are. I've fixed this for the next build. Just be careful not to do this for now.
