If you set <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> to false it'll work the same way as it used to.

There is a separate <[SIZE=2]UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio> setting for the next release

Yup, that fixed it! Thanks.

Just a little note for those who changed the windows shell (explorer.exe <=> gbpvr.exe), you need to reboot and launch explorer once with task manager before to be able to use gbpvr again

keymappings\recordings.xml file
Code:
<command name="RECORDINGS_REVERSE_ORDER" key="^B"/>
seems to be ignored and just uses "^R" still.

Ah, right you are. I'll put it on my list of things to look at.

What renderer are you using (VMR7/9/Overlay)? Or is this on an MVP? Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I'm using Overlay, but tried switching to VMR9 and same thing, no pop-up.

I'm not sure which logs you want to see, so I just took the most recently modified ones.

Can you set your logging level back to 'debug', then try again and repost the logs?

Yup, thanks! BTW, not using MVP. Not sure if you need to know this but I just discovered I'm using Windows Media Player 8. I also have Xrecord plugin installed but never use it (unchecked).

Thanks again!

You are getting dangerously close to picture-in-picture :-)

John

Actually, I seem to be able to get picture-in-picture playback. During the first playback, I press Menu, then I go into Recordings again, now the first playback is in the lower left corner, then select another file to play and that runs full screen... then press menu again and you'll get two playing at the same time although i think you only get the audio for the first one. I'm also able to stop the second one from playing but I can't seem to stop the first one from resizing to full screen or stop it from playing without quiting gbpvr completely.

Cool feature though!

I've been playing with this for an hour since getting it loaded :o , and thought I'd provide some feedback. Don't know if my experiences are typical. This is with an out-the-box install, blue skin, no plugins, hware as below.

When the MVP is turned on via the remote, there is no 'MediaMVP' splashscreen, although the LED on the front comes on. After a few secs, the MVP boots to the main GBPVR menu.

I get no audio with music, and selecting live tv gives me a black screen with 4 boxes; they change to green left to right, then stop at the fourth (see pic). I can then press exit to get back to the main menu.

I've since reverted back to dongle.bin.

Like I say, just feedback, don't know if it helps.
