Are you using the default Blue skin?

It just takes me back to the main menu. I'm using the blue skin and the only panel is the next recording one (default).

Sorry about the multiple posts; think the server's getting hammered.

I started gbpvr on the pc, opened the video library, started to play a .mpg video and pressed 'home', It just took me back to the main menu, so I closed it and this was at the bottom of the gbpvr.exe.txt log:

2/21/2006 7:53:23 PM.109 VERBOSE [2] installDirectory is C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\
2/21/2006 7:53:23 PM.125 VERBOSE [2] configurationFile is config.xml

It almost looks like it's a skin issue, but I PROMISE I am using the blue skin...

Any ideas? I downloaded the .msi about midnight (-5 GMT) last night; nothing changed did it?

a bit off-topic.. has anyone tried the transcoding to XviD and see if the comskip commercials show up now on the transcoded file? (in 95.16, it would mess up the framerate in the MPEG or something and so the commercial breaks wouldnt show up when you played the recording).

It seems to be the other hosting companie's turn to have a problem now. Separate companies host http://www.gbpvr.com and http://forums.gbpvr.com. Both have had problems in the last 24 hours...

It's actually not a preview window (at least I dont think it is...) but when you're watching a file during playback, you can press Menu on your remote or Home on your keyboard and it will take you back out to the main menu and in that window, you can continue to watch your file.

You mentioned in your earlier post that it was a copy of the Blue skin with a panel disabled. When did you take this copy? After v.0.96.8 was installed?

No you shouldnt have to do anything. Just select a file, then hit the transcode button. It'll popup a window that lets you select the transcoding profile and start/cancel. The profiles come from the list in config.xml (You can add additional ones, or remove ones you dont need, re-order then, edit bitrate etc etc).

It pretty much is, but the profiles are pre-defined at this stage. This may change in the future though.

No, the only panels that are enabled are the default ones - next recording and time. I haven't added any plugins, skins, etc. The timestamp on the blue baseskin is in the pic.

As I still have a basic install, I think I'll try reinstalling and see if that helps...?

Thanks for working with me on this.

Ok, set your logging level back to 'Debug', retry, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log files.
